When a franchise turns from entertainment to how much money can we get out of it, that is about when it is done. just look at start trek.

The prequel trilogy killed it, a set of 2 hour long CGI toy adverts. It’s improved since George Lucas handed it over.https://youtu.be/hUkCJDkG3fg

Of course, anything pervasive in pop culture there's going to be people shooting it down - believe it or not there are even people who don't like Trump!

I grew out of Star Wars in the late 90"s but have never felt inundated by it. It's easy just don't go to the movie. If others are interested that's good for them. They are not a small band of rebels. More like a vocal group of whines.

I don't go and see them simply because I lost interest in the franchise (Although, yes, JJA probably would have put me off VII anyway.). People have a stroke when you say you're not seeing each new movie and they demand an explanation.

Oh...no fellas, it's only just begun. The theme of burning the old and ending going full Disney with a child holding a broom should tell you this cash cow will be milked for years.
