'Jerusalem is Israel’s capital. No one can deny it. It doesn’t obviate peace. It makes peace possible,' says Netanyahuhttp://on.wsj.com/2AaysyF

Jerusalem is not in Israel, and Trump’s ‘recognition’ is totally illegal in international law. It breaks Article 11 of the Montevideo Convention, Geneva Convention, Stimson Doctrine, Kellogg-Briand Pact and UN Charter. Jerusalem is not even in Israel.

And yet all our Democrat reps voted for doing exactly as Trump did. And it's been on the lawbooks for many years.

It is still a breach of international law. Incidentally the US has only recognised Israel within UNGAR borders. Which probably renders Trump’s ‘recognition’ illegal under US law as well. But I would have to look into that.

"No one can deny it" flies in the face of many nations' doing just that. Denying it.

when Moses told these people to conquer Palestine from Kanaan people, they replied, 'O Moses! Never shall we enter it as long as they are there. Go forth, then, you and your Lord, and fight, both of you. As for us, we will sit here.'

Not factual. Blind support of Israel is not popular in the US. We have internal issues that are more important to us. Unfortunately, because our system is corrupted and controlled by Oligarchs, we no longer have a representative government that follows the will of the people.

No, seizing it for your group alone doesn't advance the cause of peace, but makes peace less likely.
