More Americans have a degree, but few workers actually need one for their job, employers sayhttp://on.wsj.com/2AYsgNX

Prefer hiring someone with skills and common sense than one with a useless degree. No one is entitled to a job- you earn it! Never hire from Ivy League - too many problems and disruptive to workforce

Leadership and innovation don’t always need a degree. There is a lot of great work being done in lots of places. I love a well run fast food joint or coffee shop #grassroots

That’s a result of highly skilled jobs being overseas. What a shame that we don’t promote higher education.

Main reasons for hiring a degree:1- person shows initiative beyond HS, 2- hopefully they learned some creative thought and basic problem solving, 3- if tech field they at least should understand some theoretical basics

Well, of course they don't need it for McDonald's. The drumbeat turning Americans away from education is dangerous and feeds a larger plan to keep people uneducated and controllable by an authoritarian government

It’s true. I have a degree in Early Childhood Development. I’ve been doing childcare for 30 years. Didn’t need a degree for this.
