Canada loses nothing There are other manufacturers of fighter jets on the planet It's time Canada starts diversify it's military equipment & get fair deals & better prices for what it gets

Not necessarily the F-35 is such an example but many other US weapon systems are comparable to the F-35 (plagued with problems) By the way many fighter jets made outside the US have comparable capacities as the F-18

The deal was abandoned based on the previous attempt by Boeing to forbid Canada's aeronotic constructor Bombardier from selling it's planes into the US

#rafales out maneuver #F35 at ever turn. So does #F18 so why buy them. #CND should by #Rafale frame(license) and customize for #Canada

Canada should build/buy the best jet deal for Canada. The #Rafale is a cool proven jet. The #Dassault offer is worth serious consideration. #MadeInCanada #Jobs A Canadian variant would be good for #Nato

Arctic-variant #Rafale? New jet deal relevant for Finland as well. We share same history/background with Canada: #F18Hornet. In fact, one of the reasons why Finland purchased Hornets in 90s was that Canada had chosen the same jet proven to be suitable for arctic climate. #hx

What "Arctic Variant" are you talking about ? Rafale is obviously an all-wheather fighter, like the SH... All components are military qualified and can withstand extrem températures... Rafale doesn't need and "Arctic Variant" as Hornet didn't need one

Dear Sébastien, has Dassault later on confirmed engine performance during cold weather conditions? There has been an open question about that specific issue (http://o.canada.com/news/national/defence-officials-catalogued-pros-cons-of-f-35-competitors …) Both Canada and Finland are buying approx. 60 planes each, so it would be a big deal for Dassault

So far France has ordered 180, Egypt 24, India and Qatar both 36. For Finland #HX Fighter program (60+ planes) is too big to fail and #Rafale is very competent 4+ gen. fighter. By offering some posibilities of modification and technology transfer, Dassault would be very competent

for #CND it would be 120 and under license it could truly be upgraded to a #CDN platform 4 less

In the North American context the US aeronotic industry is basicaly an oligopole "MASSIVELY" subsidised through the DOD, US regime change policies & worldwide military interventionism that's been going on since the end of WW2
