Opinion: The way to help high-tax states is to offset the lost deduction with a lower tax ratehttp://on.wsj.com/2ADz2Gk

And might I add: economics 101- employers hire more and pay more when their product is in high demand (i.e. Apple, Tesla, Google, Amazon) NOT when they have millions sitting in their off shore bank accounts (i.e. Koch Brothers, Walmart). #ITMFA #TrulyMAGA

If our federal taxes went back to us our state taxes wouldn’t be so high but California gets to pay for Alabama and Louisiana, now we get taxed twice on the same income should be illegal

I disagree. Let's engage in some social engineering of our own by using the tax code to encourage blue state voters to start electing conservatives.

So this guy’s name is Faso or fathead? I wonder how much money the lobbyists gave him for his vote? He was probably one of the cheaper Congresspeople - I don’t recognize the name or the face. But somebody like McConnell? It must cost a fortune.

But that rate disappears in just a few years while the missing deductions? Well them suns-a-guns are gone forever. That and a slashing of Medicare & Medicaid are supposed to eliminate the $1.5 trillion the tax cut will increase the National Debt. So you can see it all works out!

Very silly and elitist editorial. People in as low as the 25% bracket will have tax increases with lack of SALT and property tax deduction. Plenty of people making less than 150k are paying more than 10k on property tax.
