We dont need tax cuts now, nor can we afford one with an aging population, hot ground wars, tens of thousands of wounded and disabled veterans, a crumbling infrastructure, seemingly endless natural disasters and a bloated deficit, while corporations sit on historic profits.

Yeah before the GOP elected an insane degenerate clown to be President and generated a world of lies and delusion to insulate them from mathematical reality

Maybe I missed it, but I don't remember the need to provide tax breaks to wealthy hedge fund managers in the Virgin Islands being one of our nation's pressing crises. Yet that's exactly what Section 14504 of the GOP bill does. pic.twitter.com/qP7VM12LNl

This is a great point. The Democrats agreed to negotiate on taxes previously so they should accept any wildly inequitable piece of shit legislation that the Republicans shove in from of them.

Tax cuts work in a zero-deficit (not debt-free) environment to restart the economy. Cuts are idiotic when the economy is running well but a deficit persists.

How can someone possibly write this article without noting that there was no deficit, a projected $5.6 trillion ten-year surplus and an economic slowdown? Or that GW Bush actively wooed Democrats? https://twitter.com/WSJ/status/936709101236772864 …

How did it work out in Kansas? How disingenuous can you be? This 'tax' bill will turn USA third world country and Wall Street will have to face the reality they helped create.

Tax bill is a fucking joke. They keep AMT the biggest scam in the tax code. Do nothing senators more concerned about reelection then helping people. This and ACA has me soured on GOP. At least Dems band together.
