This is a dangerous trend. Generating capital based on speculation backed by some real asset can be understood. But this seems to be nothing more than a bubble with no asset-security or logically quantifiable way to calculate the real value of cryptocurrency.

The US dollar is 'backed' by nothing. You can't bring a dollar to the treasury and turn it in for a speck of gold or a square inch of BLM land. Plus it's fiat currency, the Fed can create as much as it wants. It's value is derived solely by the acceptance of market participants.

The $ & others are working because even if they are just fiat, they are backed by the respective central banks' guarantee (not for gold but for the value itself). Will a currency work if the Central bank guaranteeing it refuses its legitimacy?

"Backed by" what? It's a meaningless phrase that you are repeating. The dollar is backed by literally nothing. It has value because others accept it in exchange, not because some government printed it. No value is "guaranteed", in fact it's constantly in decline.

Enlighten yourself on how the Fed manages flow of currency in the economy, without which any currency/economy suffers, left solely to demand-supply forces. For cryptocurrency there is no such central regulator. A central bank can only manage a currency which it backs/issues.

Enlighten yourself on Austrian School economics. Your opinion is not the only one. Many believe that the market-distorting effects of central banking exacerbates boom/bust business cycles. Hayek even won a Nobel Prize for his work on this.
