        Excel isn't (and never was) a database tool - its a spreadsheet. Using it to keep track of "which groups are hiring" sounds more like user error than a knock on Excel.

        Adobe and Oracle paid good money for this ad. This entire article goes on the theory you have a personnel IT guy who can sit there and do whatever you need them to on the spot and make it work. As someone who does this daily it is a pipe dream.

        Yup. Ms has not kept up in the area of collaboration. No doubt. However, many companies don't want to do business in the cloud. So there is that to consider.
