Well Wall Street Journal, these are things a government can do if they can get away with taxing people who make 200k a year 58,75%. That is the rate of federal plus provincial income tax in NB Canada. 58.75%. Because if you make 200k, you're too rich. Thanks liberals!

money doesnt come from the thin air. governments think so and some rich elite also do. there are no free things in life, everything has a cost. guess what toothpaste and toilet paper are not free. you cant live without paying for something. some have tried but failed.

BI experiments make me laugh, like hm I wonder if this will help people...it's like doing a pilot program in a starving nation: let's give food to some of the starving people to see if it's a good idea. Still, the trials are good bc the results are overwhelmingly positive. #UBI

It's not free money. For society to function properly most ppl must be involved. Most of this $17k gets spent on widgets & tax. We need 2 end the benefit system. The status of unemployment must end if we are going 2 cope with 4th industrial revolution. Alternative is catastrophe.

It is interesting to wait and see how those to be chosen for this pilot program would react. I think the question is, would such programs lead to more or less productive workforce?

Zuck, Musk and RB are not people that I admire. Why listen to what they think? UBI lets them alieve their conscience vs look in the mirror
