Opinion: The Democrats are trying to make Kansas' 2012 tax cuts into a cautionary tale, but there’s no comparison, writes @RepRonEsteshttp://on.wsj.com/2AIR74T

Ron is out of his mind. The Brownback tax cut is an unmitigated disaster. This plan will not help anyone in Kansas unless they have Koch as a last name. Vote NO on H.R. 1

Sam Brownbeck, Kris Kobach and the rest of the Republicans bought by the Koch family have utterly destroyed the economy and education system of Kansas. Everyone should see this microcosm of the Trump tax plan

OK, how about using the 2001/2003 Bush tax cuts as a cautionary tale? Revenue plummeted, deficits skyrocketed.

so… You're saying that the Kansas tax plan was a pretty bad idea at the wrong time… Right? Asking for friend.

Sounds like Murdoch’s Editorial Board offering opinions, again. With family in Kansas, I can state that it is a tragic place of withering towns and rotting farms. Power bills, local taxes, etc. are all high. Small farmers are unable to compete with mega corporations.

Literally have seen an outlet try and make this case one time. @WSJ are right wing hacks trying to convince the poor to support a tax cut for the rich.

It's not just Kansas, It's every trickle down job creation/wage increase theory put into practice ever. This is a donor payback pure and simple, they've admitted as much. There are a few crumbs for voters so we don't make a fuss. They'll blame the Dems when we can't pay the bill

"trickle down" label is used as a distraction by politicians who can't control "spending up". Call it "donor payback" but I would rather $ go to you and every other American citzen than be allocated by the government.

Sure but that's not whats going to happen. The vast majority will not be seen by 90% of actual human beings. Plus as for increased investment they haven't closed the offshore loopholes ... so where do you think the moneys going to go. I'm all for tax cuts but this plan sucks

This is an opinion not fact. Fact- you helped orchestrate the most catastrophic tax bill in Kansas history that looks a lot like the current proposal. Near insolvency, Kansas had to reverse it. It will take 20 years to get us back to stability.
