If they want legislative success on anything at all, they'll have to open up the process to include the dems and (more importantly), the people, thru public meetings, expert testimony, town halls, etc...

If I get a $500 tax break, but my share of the national debt goes up by $5,000, do you actually think that that would be a *good* deal? Seriously?

Right? At least give me something tangible in return. If you're increasing the debt, then fix some schools, roads, bridges, construct high speed rail, create some jobs, increase veteran benefits...something other than a tax cut for millionaires.

More likely those things will get cut because "we can't afford them now!"

Yes, that’s why politicians speak out at this early stage, so their objections can be taken into consideration in further drafts.

Good, because most sound like lazy C- politicians who just want to pass some bs bill and be done with it.

I’ve a feeling there’s a lot of truth in that. Trump needs a win badly, and so do the GOP, so any bill may do. Now, the question is, has Trump pissed off and humiliated enough of his own party that a Trump loss is more important than a GOP win to them? I think he might have..

They need to load him up back on his plane and have him tour more countries. He’s distracting, no one can get anything done with a show boat. He turns the place into a MMA match. 🤦‍♀️
