Last year I loved my visit to Myanmar! The people were so kind and friendly and the monks also appeared kind caring so what a shock to see extreme violence in news photos! I certainly hope for the country no civil wars on horizon!

These aren't mild Buddhists sticking up for themselves, these are nationalist-extremists whipping mobs into a murderous frenzy. There's burned homes and the blood of children behind what you defend. But I suppose because they're Muslims it doesn't matter what happens to them...

It matters to me Jake! How can people be so cruel?

Restrained response is consistent with the Adminstration’s policy not impose American engineered solution. Although it is obvious the role of army and crazy monks, an independent body will lend credibility to claim and the solution. Suu Kyi lost the moral high ground.

Thank you, Tillerson, for doing something morally right. Unusual for the USA these days! Please remind her to return her tainted Nobel Peace Prize. #npr #cnn #wsj #HuffPostPol #nyt #WaPo #AP_Politics #foxnews #BBCnews #msnbc

“Myanmar’s Rohingya crisis” makes it sound like they’re not actively choosing to ethnically cleanse their own people.

I’m disappointed in Aung San Suu Kyi. What she is doing with Rohingya Muslims is actually much worse than what Duterte is doing to so-called addicts here in the Philippines. DJT’s failure to press her on the issue shows how weak American FP has become.
