No team in the past two decades has been as committed to supporting its young quarterback as the Titans have with Marcus Mariota. It’s starting to pay off.http://on.wsj.com/2AHqQDF

Shouldn’t they get him a coach that knows anything about offense? I’ll take what the Eagles built around Carson Wentz any day of the week.

Well, we've built a great offense around Mariota, but we have stubborn, unintelligent coaches that don't know how to deploy that offense. It'd maddening. The arguments are nonstop among Titans fans

I think the scheme is fine. Ridiculous amount of poor routes, Mariota overthrows and drops in the first half of most games. Corey Davis and Matthews each blew a sure TD last week. That’s not the OC’s fault.

It kinda is though. With Mariota's skill set we need to scheme receivers open with diverse route trees and spread wr sets. We run condensed formations that are easy to blitz and defend.

Actually, condensed formations have far more possible variations than three wide sets, which can only go a few ways. Read a great article on this by Paul Kuharsky

You go watch the first quarter of the six games. MM wasn’t stepping into his throws and pass after pass was too high. Could have been the broken leg left him stiff. Starting game 7 it’s been better.

You do realize the entire article was about draft picks spent on supporting their QB, something the Titans have done so much more than the Eagles, right? Has nothing to do with which team is better.

Multiple TD drops, some bad play calling beginning of year which led to more FGs, Mariota leads his team downfield & our RBs score or his 3 rushing TDs. Looking at stats without context tells no story.

You’re upset because they wouldn’t come out for the anthem once yet the article is talking about how other teams can follow their FOOTBALL success. This has nothing to do with their off the field stuff.
