Myanmar is committing genocide, and deserves to be sanctioned for it. There should be a heavy cost to killing your citizens. Beijing may care little about human rights, but Myanmar should keep in mind Beijing also cares little about Myanmar's sovereignty or interests.

The only thing as horrifying as the Rohingya Crisis is the predictability of it. Rohingya today, Karen tomorrow, etc. Patterns never change.

"Asian Leaders, I call #Asia the Dark Continent of the 21st century. Myanmar commits a full genocide against the entire #Rohingya population. The rest act business as usual. Pathetic & inhuman, beyond words. Suu Kyi is a big international lair.

You know the times they are a-changing when your grade schooler sees Aung San Suu Kyi on the TV news and remarks, “Oh, there’s that evil lady who won’t help her Rohingya people in Myanmar.” Who would have thought we’d see the day?

i really don’t think she cares for Nobel Prize, the power she sought for a long time has been granted by her captors...what an instrument.

US and EU should use influence with ASEAN into pressuring Myanmar about human rights. India wouldny be much of a help given their bumpy relationship w/ Myanmar. This is why having a strong State Dept is important, which sadly, Trump is not doing anything about.
