This is the "good people with guns" argument... Just don't. How much longer until we stop reacting to these events and start being proactive about the root issues?

He did nothing of the sort, all he did was move the danger to a different place and put more people at risk, as well as create a situation where police have to figure out where a mobile suspect is, &untrained person chasing.

This is extremely misleading: often only the presence of someone with a legal weapon" - false. More often, it's unarmed bystanders or law enforcement. This is NOT the commonality gun nuts want us to believe, ergo supporting the NRA's madness.

Glad he was there, but if he would've been inside the church, he may or may not have shot innocent people. Not everybody with a gun stays cool under that kind of pressure. And remember, 26 people were killed first.

Wow what a dumb thing to say. Highly unlikely he would be carrying a rifle inside the church. The vast majority of firearm owners are very responsible. Ignorant non gun owners should figure that out.

No, it isn't. If there was somebody in church, most likely it would be somebody with a handgun. 1/2

The absolute foolishness of your statement, lies in the fact that you are worried about a worse case senerio, developing from an ACTUAL worse case senerio. It could have ended before it even started if a competent CCW would have been in the church.

There is no need to insult me if you disagree with me. Just as many are capable of carrying a weapon and using it properly, many are not. It is not going to be a best possible outcome every time. That guy was outside the church, not in it.

Insult? Criticism of an idea is not a personal attack. "but if he would've been inside the church, he may or may not have shot innocent people." Him being in the church with a long weapon was your original premise.

When you say 'absolute foolishness" or "dumb thing to say", then yes, you are insulting me. And I didn't necessarily mean somebody in church w/a rifle, but any citizen carrying a gun.

You really can't see the difference between ideas and person? OK, your assertions are not logical and you are playing 'what if'. Hope that saves your safe space for you.
