Opinion: Leaders frequently praise their troops for volunteering and refer to us as “the 1% of citizens who serve.” That's unfair. Many civilians back home have sacrifice too, writes Michael W. Broughhttp://on.wsj.com/2yPajkX

Are you kidding? You sacrifing your time or meal is not the same as risking your life. I’m not going to call my dad, a Vietnam vet, to tell him about my phony sacrifice. Shut up

The author is promoting the liberal logic (PERVASIVE THIS YEAR) that military service isnt that big a deal. Its a concerted effort to get people to stop honoring tge military.

Many serve. Veterans Day is for those who have served in the armed forces.

Every WSJ opinion article has been dragged to trash status by the journals pursuit of conspiracy theories. You have a lot of rebuilding to do if you want to re-obtain the status you once had.

No comparison to volunteering in a soup kitchen and being deployed for 18 months watching your men, your partner's men and civilians get blasted apart and shot. I appreciate civilians who serve their communities. They are heroes in their own right. Veterans Day is ours.

Ironically, conservative leaders frequently denigrate any notion of "socialism" while they are supporting military communities that cherish incredible benefits from the government. #GOP
