Thank you for writing such a thoughtful and well-researched article. It's so validating. The part about the inner fight despite the exterior torment really resonated with me.

knows all about adversities. Paper written by power for power tells the other 99% how to overcome the walls they built.

Having parents who expected perfection and punished the slightest failure makes you resilient. You constantly think, "What do I need to do to avoid the lash?" I've had a pretty tumultuous adulthood but being resilient made able to land on my feet and succeed after failure.

It is indeed adjusting your approach to life. Realizing what's your responsibility & what isn't/what you can and can't control. Realizing truth about you can't be changed by what others believe. So much more, but being able to self-examine & apply necessary changes.

Realizing that life is a box of choices. That you're the only one that can TRULY control you and that you don't have to yield your power over you. Goodness, I could go on and on.

Thanks for doing this instead of investigating the money laundering and other illegal activities of the Trumps. If these allegations were facing an Democratic Pres I'm sure you'd be all in with an investigative team. On the other hand, I guess we all need resilience right now

Most psychologists have more mental and personality hang ups than the people they are supposed to be "helping", or giving analysis or advice to.

A psychologist has no idea about real resilience. they don't let people heal and succeed.
