Contact Barack Obama somewhere in Hawaii golfing I'm sure.He was commander in chief at the time.
-
It's job of an NCO at AF base Security Forces. There is a checklist. Honestly, JAGs & Paralegals in legal ofc shld have on our checklist too

I'm not surprised, human error, in this data age systems should be able to talk to 1 another, we aren't as tech savvy as we should be
-
Especially sad considering how easy it really is.

So it's not the lack of rules it's the lack of follow through. Gotcha

As more layers to this garbled narrative get peeled away, it's clear to see that gun control is in fact not the core issue at hand here

because the ucmj doesnt have Domestic Violence language- a bcd(not a dishonorable discharge)is not automatic- gun restriction-update itpic.twitter.com/IuT9l3xUrp
-
No. It still is automatic restrict. AF cops have full assault charge which delineates family relation. It's supposed to be entered DV in sys
-
exactly the ucmj had DV & assault language like reg law-we could make DV charges automatically dishonorable discharges
-
I'd support Congress creating specific DV UCMJ art where max punish includes DD. (There are no automatic crim punishments. Range for court)
-
completely agree no DV convictions should be allowed to have only bad conduct discharges

Another example of big gov't. incompetence! Under Obama's watch of course!
-
If you think that's unique to 1 Admin... This wld be failure by a cop at Holloman AFB & no follow-up by JAG. You're blaming the Pres?

True, but pls remember killer could have bought his guns legally in 2ndary mkt. Then no bkgrnd check required in many states, inclding TX.
-
could have, but didn’t. you could have also decided to jaywalk today but you didn’t. so don’t be an ass about what could have happened

In other words, a law we already have could've prevented this atrocity, if it weren't for human error?

Who is responsible, specifically responsible, for notifying the FBI? My guess is that the military justice system, that is the lawyers and judges, as suppose to do it.
-
It's on the confinement cop checklist. AF Security Forces. But I think prosecuting legal office shld be following-up.
