        Jones act has nothing to do with cargo delivery. Landed cargo is controlled by labor and, landside infrastructure such as highways, truck drivers

        One of the issues with the Jones Act is that it forces the island to use only one port. This slows everything down.

        Fact: As of Oct 23 Jones Act Carriers have delivered more than 19,000 loads of commercial and & Government Cargoes!

        We've had the Jones Act for many decades. My point is that in a time of crisis like this they refused to make an exception.

        Actually a 10 day Waiver was issued by DHS. I don't think any foreign carrier responded and the waiver expired.
