I'm a conservative white male who is tired of being vilified by the media. I'm not racist or sexist. Just an American that loves the USA!

The problem is reports that focus on the occasional divide rather than the numerous unites. You become what you focus on

internet and mass immigration caused today's divide. new immigrants feel no need to assimilate and still maintain strong ties to mother land thru social media. They r increasingly feel the country as a host, and not their own.

the ties r not only to their mother land, but also within their own immigration community. Those ties work against integration.

It's certainly divided. All nations have natural life cycles, I suspect the u.s. is past it's peak. It will either implode or it will turn into another England. Either way, it's not going to return the the america of the mid-20th century.

This is once-in-lifetime window to reinvent America. To do that, people must “reinvent” their hearts & minds. So, not likely—yet possible.

The problem is that there is not a consistent vision. Some people would love to see a christian theocracy, others would like to see a pure democracy, and then there are the white nationalists.... I don't see how these diverse visions ever find common ground.

If it ever gets close to that point I’ll pack up the family and move elsewhere. Part of being a survivor is knowing when to leave a bad situation.

it was getting the people you’re with to agree on how to go about surviving. This includes family, friends. I thought that made sense. 2/2
