Are you going to control for all the benefits and privileges that piled up before the student took their first gulp of air as a baby?

Is it really Harvard that prepares people, or the fact that the vast majority of people who go there come from deep family lines of money and status? Rice University is now free for people whose parents make under 130k. Just a thought.

What does this even mean? I am so sick of northeastern elitism, which is allows the elitism to pass from generation to generation.

It has little to do with the quality of education, but more to do with ole boys network.

IOW, rich, powerful alumni are more important than anything learned in a classroom. Thank you for doing your part, @WSJ, to perpetuate privilege.

Judging the campus protests on law campuses against due process, I feel that these schools have infantilized our youth & made sure they won't be able to function in idea diverse systems. They won't be good lawyers. Look at ACLU now. They fight AGAINST rights now.

How does a university that keeps out qualified candidates for enrollment secure such a ranking? Ask the Asian kid with a 4.0 GPA that was not accepted if he agrees Harvard should be the top ranked university.
