Pulling your kid out of school to spend time with them is probably 10000X more valuable than whatever was going to happen at school that day

My kids benefitted more by learning history at ancient sites & at museums than from in-school powerpoints. Opportunity matters.

My kids r well adjusted, contributing adults. Pulled them from school 4 many real-life educational experiences. School's concern is funding.

Yes the school gets paid for seats filled. That's why they get bent out of shape if your child is not there.

It doesn't fit their narrative. It might call into question the motive of public school administrators.

I'm all for it. I do it with my kids- not excessively so, but there are times when being together is more important than a school day.

Schools are just hired babysitters now. Everything is packets & group learning. No teaching going on in classrooms.
