So, we're going to further isolate kids in foster care by creating "special" schools for only them? Like other segregated schools worked out

If you've observed that experience congrats. My point was 2 suggest it doesn't happen that way 4 most & that purposeful segregation stinks

So this isn't true, actually, and there is enough research to show how some marginalized children thrive in "segregation" where they matter

Love to read the studies you refer to. I'm unfamiliar with that literature. Always interested in learning something new

Foster care children should go to the schools they were in before entering foster care.

It's not always that easy. Sometimes kids are placed where it will take them over 2 hours to get to school.

Just like homeless kids. Sometimes the shelters are very far from their old homes.

Exactly. It's a major issue. Our kids get mass transit paid for to get to and from school- no private buses.

Nancy Devos is a Koch-ALEC dupe...and will destroy public education by promoting Charters. There is NO over-site of Charters. Money will >>

I wish local schools had even a little training on foster kids and the situation and laws related to them. It'd make things a lot easier.

I'm sure Betsy Devos designed it as a form of economic segregation.
