Obama frees gitmo prisoners. Liberals don't say a word. Trump pardons one person. Liberals lose their mind

Arpaio had a fair trial with due process, and got away with far more because of political power. None of the prisoners in Gitmo had that.

Judge denied Arpaio a jury trial of his peers and conducted a bench trial. Nothing fishy going on there, right?

In criminal contempt of court, publicly telling the courts to shove their order ("I will not stop"), forfeits right to a jury trial.

Contempt of court had nothing to do with it. Sentences 6 months and under don't fall under the 6th amendment.

Those are the legal standards, for a "criminal contempt of court" charge. It is what it is.

With libs up in arms about prison overcrowding and incarceration rates too high it seems pardoning an 85 y/o from 6m sentence makes sense

We need better Presidential guidelines. Clinton's pardon of Mark Rich was a poor decision - just as this pardon was.
