This is a phony point. Charging stations are much cheaper to install, maintain, and operate than gas stations.

Every new shopping complex needs to add a section of parking with chargers like Turkey Creek in Knoxville, TN. Retrofit older parking areas.

I live in Baton Rouge--hardly a green bastion--and lots of new construction sites have electric car chargers. It's just a matter of time.
