We've been adding jobs since 2010. Hiring is down this year. Not up.
numbers are choppy but 5.5 million were hired in May 2017, up from 5.15 a year earlier. Hiring is just one component in total jobs % change
Your chart shows gross hires slowing recently. Avg net jobs/mo added is falling. Subhed & tweet seem very misleading. Unclear at best.
And the article correctly details low level of layoffs. Not about hiring.
