Yes, but the link to Type 2 Diabetes is becoming clear. No thanks!

Big Pharma doesn't care if Statins are bad for you .
-
No kidding. Funny, isn't it, that the AMA lowered all the "acceptable" levels so that most require meds? No thanks.

Drugs are often the last resort; it is always a better idea to eat healthfully and avoid both illness and the side effects, inc memory loss
-
Its now believed tht dietary cholesterol has little to no effect on your serum chol. While diet+exercise important, sometimes not enough

Yes, tho many can come off meds; avoid them entirely, or reduce their prescriptions by changing diet. http://www.dresselstyn.com
@DrEsselstyn -
You linked me a website to a physician who is peddling two books, one of which includes the word "cure." Not sure this is the best source

Here is a great video by Dr. Ellsworth Wareham on the subject: https://youtu.be/FX58PyQwrcI
@youtube worth watching. -
Great video, but this is one person with anecdotal life evidence. I'm not arguing a vegan diet isn't healthy, I'm arguing that I'm not sold
-
It's difficult to compete with all of the noise out there; we've adopted and never going back. My health markers changed significantly.

Happy for you, not a bad way to live. My point was abt science as a whole, not to bring others down. Too much pseudosci not to be a skeptic

I didn't just have body aches....I reached a point on statins where I could barely climb a flight of stairs or even walk without difficulty.
-
My dr took me off the statins and the problems gradually went away, tho I still have minor leg pain flare-ups after 2 years.
-
I will NEVER take statins again....I am on Zetia now with no problems.

Docs still don't understand cholesterol and it's relationship to heart disease. Statins are awful drugs that are often over prescribed.

It's becoming increasingly difficult to believe anything big pharma says abt their drugs: paying off regulators? rigging test results?
