        you need a understanding of engineering technology in order to come up with a realistic fix based on your knowledge of how technology works

        Not necessarily for the fixes, but for the analysis. Engineers are part of a culture & have less training & understanding of psychology.

        now we have psychology engineering which mixes together knowledge of psychology and technology. it's a fairly new subject matter

        Psychology also needs reform as a discipline...we have a lot of power in AI and I wonder if we have the ability to harness it effectively.
