How much coal is used to produce the electricity? What's the environmental impact of toxic battery disposal? Solution worse than problem?

Thankfully the batteries are recycleable and wastes can be reused as industry reagents. Most grids are becoming wind and solar.
-
Wind costs twice as much; solar panels even worse. You want to double your bill, go ahead.
-
The investment costs are dropping. It was 27 dollars per watt in the 70s. Its now 3 dollars and lasting for 30 to 40 years, so its worth it.
-
Maintenance & impact costs are rising.
-
That isnt true in the slightest. Impact is lessening since the systems are recycleable and panels are basically maintenance free.
-
I disagree strongly. Wildlife deaths, noise & fire go unreported. Solar panels terribly inefficient, especially as temperatures increase.
-
Our precious birds being killed by solar/wind. It's unreported because alternative energy allows beta boys to become the new industrialists.

It's scary when a private company cares more for the environment than a president.
@realDonaldTrump -
If Volvo cared about the environment then why are they making coal powered cars?
-
Who tf says coal, you mean diesel??
-
Electric cars are charged by coal powered power plants.
-
Depends on where you live can't make that assumption
-
True. It's mostly coal where I live.

Volvo is a Chinese company. People who buy Volvo cars are profiting Chinese communism, suppression of Human Rights and Chinese warmongering.
-
Funny, isn't Volvo a Swedish company?
-
No, look it up. Volvo is owned & controlled by the communist Chinese who violate Human Rights, has no freedom of speech and is a warmonger.
-
I have. No Chinese bits whatsoever
-
"Volvo Cars" is a wholly owned subsidiary of "Geely" of China. If you can't find this basic information on the internet, I give up.
