        Two part-time $15/hr jobs probably better than one 30 hr. (no benefits) $8/hr job.

        True, but many low-paying jobs are capped at 30 hrs/week (< full time) to avoid benefit requirements as well.

        I'm not American so have no skin in the game but the methodology of the new studdy is quite good. Also it's known from studdies in Europe

        They've already seen a drop in min wage employment in Seattle since wage increase..It's already materializing. Study shows it will get worse
