My father was hospitalized & assigned to Hospitalist Dr. The nurses said he was called "Dr Death" b/c no pt survives. Dad died in 3 days.
My mother had Medicare & Medicaid. Last year of her life had to be close to 1m.
In the end patients continue with expensive hospitalizations & unnecessary procedures. Dishonesty at its finest & expense to our system.
They use to tell the family. I remember when but no longer. They make vague comments never telling the truth.
