The way I read this(as a young and healthy individual) is to buy insurance for a month, let it lapse for 60 days, buy it again, let it lapse

The waiting period only exist in order to have people die to save money for tax cuts.

Why doesn't the GOP give up and admit that it doesn't want average Americans to have health insurance? This is all taxes.

It matters not as PE conditions will make them pay more or they just go to ER and we all pay like pre ObamaCare...costing us billions.

Just what this cruel plan needs... a penalty that keeps you from having health insurance for 6 months. 😡😢🇺🇸

For all those opposed to "mandatory insurance", can you explain why this is better? Unreal.

Sort of the same. The ACA's mandate, however intended, wasn't successful in getting everyone to buy in. This approach doesn't seem worse.

I agree with you but I think it could be much worse. Private insurance has control over the increases versus a "government of the people ".

I just breezed through the ACHA CBO scoring. Looks like 51 Million will be without health insurance. Delay? Mid term elections.
