While folks in their 40s now were known as the Slacker Generation in their 20s. "In my day"-ism is truly universal.

This is a silly oversimplification. Ignores the complexities and demographics of poverty.

And exactly who would be paying for this "universal basic income" Mark? You? Yeah right

Flimsy, specious argument, below Kessler's analytical + writing abilities and the bar for WSJ. UBI pros/cons need real debate not clickbait.

Prior to the 20th century, it was common for families to live in units in the same place for generations. Modern doesn't mean correct.

... I guess examining how universal basic income programs that are already in place in Europe are working is too much work for the writer?

Awful take. If millennials move back in with parents it's because of sky high rent and no jobs, not because they wanted to be there!

These kids today, blah, blah, blah. I love how much criticism is aimed at Millennials by GenXers, once known as "the Slacker Generation."

Millennials don't move out because of the cost, not because we are lazy. I don't know anybody that would rather live with their parents.
