I have a serious question..where I can find info about % of voters for official polls about these type of election for the recent states?

-
Dudo que el Congreso hable de %s. La crisis económica(quiebra) les da una excusa para aplazar el tema.
-
Y si es no es esa buscarán otra..

Puede ser el que no esperaron la opini[n final de Justicia. Pero la quiebra es perfecta, no entras en los meritos en si, es solo postergar.

They now want to be a state, so that they can pass on their debts to mainland American citizens!

Armandt - the debt is part of the US municipal debt market that many investors own. The question is who will get paid and when

97% of 22% of ALL registered voters equals barely more than 20% support. Wow. Practically GUARANTEES We get statehood by July 2017.

Amen. 119 years of NO doesn't seem to have percolated into the stupid statehood movement

All American people should vote on statehood not just PR. This affects America as a country.

Low turnout?
@WSJ get facts straight..This was a referendum, not a general election. Opposition expected turn out of 250k and 500k+ voted! - 1 more reply

Only pro-statehood voted. Other parties called for boycott. 20% voted, 80% boycotted.
-
This was a status plesbicite not a general election. Political parties were not on the ballot, status was.
-
And as anyone remotely familiar with Puerto Rico politics know, in PR people vote along party lines.

@caribnews only votes are valid in a democracy. Most territories admitted as states won w/o congressional approval. - 1 more reply
