This system has been running well. Why break something when there are already so many other clearly broken areas that need to be fixed?

It hasn't been running well. Canada has a privatized ATC and theirs is much better than ours.

How is ours not running well? And how is theirs running better?

Please explain how Canada, who has a privatized ATC, is less safe than ours?

Because Canada doesn't have the amount of air traffic we have

Yes, it is. Go up in an air traffic control tower in, say, Atlanta and then tell me the private sector should do it.

Well, given that I have expertise in transportation and infrastructure, I would say yes. And I've been in the tower at Hartsfield.

The trend is towards privatization. Even ICAO sees that its working and recommends it.

When any governmental activity is privatized it becomes more expensive, less reliable and less safe private = profit = cost cutting
