It does not help them "focus".. it's a toy that just distracts the kid and every other kid that doesn't have one!

Um, yes, they help some children focus. Children with autism and ADHD have brains that are wired differently.

Neurodivergent kids shouldn't be expected to be able to learn in the exact same way as neurotypical kids.

When I was in school a simple "sit down and keep quiet" worked pretty well or we got a rap on the back of the hand with wooden ruler.
