@lesliebrody Teachers can focus on growth and teaching to what students need rather than teaching kids to pass tests.

This just shows how stupid they r. They do not want the student scores used because they will show how stupid both they and their teachers R

Test scores help districts align their curriculum & student progress to proficiency goals. They do not measure teacher effectiveness.

There's also a balance between proficiency and growth.

The tests also measure growth from year to year. This helps teachers & schools know how students are doing compared to students nationwide.

No Child Left Behind elevated testing frm simply measuring student achievement 2 competition & punishment. Hard 2 teach to individual needs

@lesliebrody there is zero doubt this allows teachers to teach not teach to a test with zero real world application.

Teachers can now teach the students & not teach to the test. Children will be better served & teachers can teach students as individuals
