Businesses' decision to switch to robots will only result in 'robot taxes'. How else will the 'minimum living wage' be paid to unemployed?

Universal basic income makes a lot more sense than robot taxes. We need to adapt to technology rather than to impede it.

Agreed. Encourage innovation and use a land value tax to fund a basic income https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pYSsME_h7E&sns=tw …

No, it needn't be a land value tax. Economic efficiency is not the only criterion.

Well those in power can either get behind a Basic Universal Income or prepare for upheaval.

It also hurts marginal workers and subskilled workers. Increases social net costs in the long run.

Dumb premise. If it can be done with robots most likely was headed there anyways. Don't scare people into believing they're not worth it

So quit demanding a livable wage or we're just going to get replaced by robots? They would do this anyway.

Why pay a livable wage, benefits, retirement when you can hire a guy in China to do it for less than half? Or a robot to do it better?
