Avoid using credit cards altogether. Do not buy stuff for which you do not have real money to cover.

You do it to earn points, then redeem the points for free travel. You don't get points for the cash you spend

The reason they use "points for free travel" is because it improves their profits. It is not done out of kindness!

Obviously, travel credit cards have the highest annual fee. The trick is to close out your card before the fee hits.

Or you can just avoid buying stuff for money you do not actually have instead of getting sucked into credit card schemes.

If you can't trust yourself with a CC that's fine, but don't call it a scheme because other people are financially responsible

Credit card companies actively encourage people to be financially irresponsible by clever marketing tricks and deceptions.
