Part of Brexit is so UK can actually sign free trade deals with other countries as we see the EU is incapable & protectionist

slight problem with that thesis is losing access to world's biggest free trade area. NZ and Oz aren't going to compensate.

Not sure why u limit it to Aus/NZ. EU has no deals with top 10 non-EU global economies. Unlocking those outweighs EU market.

Mexico is 10th non-EU econ, has free trade agreement with EU. Canada might be about to.

You're splitting hairs which indicates overall point still stands. And Canada deal is closer to being dead than alive.

Agree on Canada. TTIP dying too. But v hard for UK to get enough ex-EU trade to make up for loss of EU.

It's a good point - it's the leap of faith in this - can we get deals and how quickly. Irony is deal with EU may take longest!

He did that by opening up to trade.

cause Reagan's world is under siege since 20 ys. That's why we say history moves and changes. You're such ignorant partisans.

nothing wrong with the policy, more to do with widespread corruption of those in charge. @HillaryClinton is a good example

The new @DA_Stockman book tackles these issues (including Reagan legacy) in depth. Definitely worth a look.pic.twitter.com/HmE3dR7dAH
