@WSJ @AndriaCheng 玲玉LinYu is a straight 4ward spelling, try爾仁 when they spell ErhJen ur whole life. My nickname 爾子, have fun spelling it.

@_felicialee_ I can't profess to know the real answer. (Good story idea for me in future!) Pronunciation does seem to be a factor.
