@WSJ Since Women are responsible for life, it makes sense if you want a future, you HAVE to give them incentive to stop work to have family!
@WSJ @Tina_Kelleher @YouTube You mean "government mandated paid maternity leave" don't you? Most companies offer it.
@bradsl Most don't, it's about 1 in 5 (down from 1 in 4 a few yrs back). http://bit.ly/1v0GCij
@Tina_Kelleher well, according to article, paid maternity is only down 5%. The rest is about conversion to PTO. I hate one size fits all.
@bradsl Had 6wks 1st time w/ former company, 12wks 2nd time w/ MSFT. Would be nice if 1 size w/ 12wks was status quo for all new parents.
@Tina_Kelleher as a small business owner, it would kill all my profits. Many wouldn't survive.
@bradsl Right, not feasible for smbs w/ current system. Solution is above my pay grade, but other countries do it, we can find a way.
Mamma, son tanto felice...

@WSJ I taught for a few years in DC. It's refered to as a "sick bank". It was great! w/an Rx note you can take up to 3 months paid leave
