        @WSJ Thailand also used to have lots of "khong cham" stores, but frankly nowadays people prefer the cheaper cleaner air-conditioned 7-11.

        @WSJ sari-sari store almost sell everything...cooking oil, detergent, junk food, canned goods, rice, liquior, soft drinks, cigarettes, etc.
