@WSJ @SDReader_Grimm I liked to go to the hospital, because they brought meals to my bed on a tray. It was back to reality soon enough. ;)

@MarlaLynch@WSJ Service is nice. OB/GYNs not practicing the art of delivery, not nice. C-section rates climbing http://bit.ly/uVmBRG -
@SDReader_Grimm@WSJ We went to a hospital where the c-section rate was low. There are many factors which contribute to a high rate. -
@MarlaLynch@WSJ Too many of those factors are based on insurance and a fear of lawsuits. -
@SDReader_Grimm@WSJ A fear which is, often, justified. The place I went used binding arbitration.

@WSJ With the right supports & care in place, home births are no riskier than hospital births.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@WSJ Saw a doc on home birthing once. Apparently much safer in home, if one is low-risk.#GoMidWivesThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@WSJ birth is USUALLY a natural body process, not a medical emergency. Women should reclaim their ability to have safe, natural birth!Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Risky. I would have died if I delivered at home. “
@WSJ: Home births on rise;#s have doubled between 2004 and 2011. http://on.wsj.com/12E4ONG ” -
@ipmadesimple not everyone is a candidate for home birth. But for those of us who are, it should be an option.#homebirth -
@not_tina_fey I had no issues until fetal monitor alerted us. Emergency C showed umbilical cord wrapped around my daughter's legs. -
.
@ipmadesimple My son had the cord 2x around his neck & my daughter was wearing hers like a backpack. Both safely birthed at home.

@WSJ I had three kids in a hospital,not sure why anyone would risk their babie's life by giving birth at home. Anything bad can happen fast! -
@SophiePitchun3@WSJ oh please, for low risk women HB is as safe as hospital birth.#homebirth -
@not_tina_fey@WSJ I was low risk and young but,my third child would have been in trouble if I had not been in a hospital. Never certain. -
@SophiePitchun3 birthing in a hospital isn't certain either.hospital interventions can (& have) lead to birth complications.#birth
