        @WSJ don't forget the rise of tablets in your cause/effect scenario. Sales of ereaders fall as tablets get cheaper and do same thing.

        @WSJ readers like kindle likely have a longer upgrade cycle than other similar tech. Also, phones have the app so the reader isn't needed
