@WSJ Frankly I would rather see a PA or Nurse Practitioner any day. Concentrate on these capable people.

@WSJ@hughhewitt with a reduced supply of "machines" (doctors) to produce finished goods (well patients), the only result is longer queues. -
@N987PL@wsj@hughhewitt Adding more patients to an already taxed system only exacerbates the queuing inevitability by the way.

@WSJ doctors only work as a specialist anyway. Only way to be in general practice is concierge medicine. To much red tape / delayed paymentThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@WSJ I find PAs very helpful. I used to use a house call service in NYC staffed by PAs instead of going to the ER. Much more effective. -
@Ellen_Lee3@wsj no doubt that PAs are helpful. MDs r heart surgeons and nephrologists and oncologists and anesthesiologists-also helpful -
@docroland That is true and I see a fair number of physicians on a monthly basis given my health. The PA I saw kept me from ER a lot. -
@Ellen_Lee3 we're being warned-if 0.5% of the 90K shortage are oncologists, we'll be down 450 cancer doctors-it takes 10 yrs to train
