Very sad. Cat 4 hurricanes are extremely difficult to ward off or prepare for. It actually appears like Hurricane Andrew damage in Homestead, Fl. Andrew was Cat 5 as I remember it. A lot of work ahead which should include more extreme building codes.

President Trump's visit to the UK in July cost police around £18 million ($23.8 million), police estimate. The amount is more than 10 times the cost for Barack Obama's last journey to Britain as president in 2016/No relief coming from @realDonaldTrump !!! C’est la vie! @CNN @GOP

The roof on my house is rated to withstand 225 mph winds, however there is no way the walls and windows could withstand that type of extreme force. It would take reinforced concrete and steel plus bullet proof glass. Best defence for Cat 4 and 5, LEAVE. Move inland.

Florida Workers need your help. We need a NATIONAL LAW to cover ALL for their right to evacuate these massive storms, & move OUT OF HARM'S WAY! Current FL law allows termination & harassment of workers who move out of the way. It is HAPPENING.

As someone who experienced Katrina and the decade of rebuilding, I am sympathetic to everyone in the hit areas. Whole communities blown and washed away. Trees on every home. No one untouched for hundreds of miles. Be strong. It'll never be the same, but you will survive.
