Equity markets from the U.S. to Asia have suffered the worst shakeout since February on concerns around the steep rise in bond yields. But global stocks began to rebound today. https://on.wsj.com/2PCf1Xe pic.twitter.com/i9MKLSCcGH

Wait and see... Europe goes little down because of dependency on the US now, but raising independence will help it in a long run. And food, water, oil, housings, is all what is "really" needed. Even Russia is recovering. Inflation goes down, GDP up...

1st - Most European countries don't need the US for anything except a check on Russia (and we aren't exactly dependable for that right now). Unless they artificially keep rates low, the EU has a southern Europe problem - right now the focus is on Italyhttps://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2018-10-11/italy-pays-the-price-for-its-own-desperation …

That is exactly this - for anything except luxury. Even most US companies tend to tax (and not tax) in the EU. So EU is fine even though they are doing really really lot of bad decisions. Still less then the US.

Your point - Europe isn't interlocked enough where immediate problems in the US economy will impact them. I agree My point - rising global interest rates will eventually hit overly levered European countries attached to the EU because they won't be able to service it.

Yes, but they will decide to not service it once they will not be able to service it. Freeing them from the due. Which will hurt the US even more. And even less help Russia, China & Co

It will hurt northern Europe most because the EU (Germany) will be forced to take on that debt.

The flow charts appears to be portentous for something wicked comes this way, in the forms of tariffs and Trumpism. Billy Jay
