Sears, Toys R Us, Kmart are all examples of poor leadership & failure to invest in the advantage they have over internet retailers; the ability to engage human contact & create a personal shopping experience w/staff vs the disconnect of online shopping.

Remembring the Christmas catalog in hand, which, incidentally, for me, also served as a birthday wish book. Mervyns, Gottschalks.. feels like when your final childhood pet passes. Saddest for me is the stark banner, that no one will remember, and the people without a job anymore.

Those Sears catalogs had almost every toy I could possibly circle. Sad.

Hey, thought of you... https://www.sideshowtoy.com/collectibles/john-wick-john-wick-hot-toys-903754/ … Guess change is inevitable. Sad. Happy. Look at what we've experienced. We'll just have to "circle" in our minds.

😢 I think we’re lucky to have these memories. Hopefully this next generation has something. It’s likely to get replaced like the 50’s and store fronts decorated.

What Bad MANAGEMENT can do to an iconic brand. It speaks volumes. They squeezed every once of blood out of it...

Was at Sears for 2 yrs post b-school. Sad to read. Eddie was/is still misunderstood. He earnestly believed SHC could turn around -he kept many underperforming stores open on the basis of that belief. Big error was not moving to shrink SHC yrs earlier to something small but viable

Very sad for all the employees who have to go through this right now. The uncertainty is gut wrenching for family providers. Still hoping something can be done.

I’ve seen dozens of stores crumble in this new era. Hard for old time stores to compete and transition.
