Trump's real intention behind the trade war is to tax all Americans in the disguise of tariffs to fill the big financial hole left by his massive tax cuts and shift the blame to China at the same time. Very smart move!

Implementing a targeted supply disruption toward US firms would be a strategic mistake of historical proportions. Aside from short term pain, the Chinese govt would force US firms to relocate some manufacturing operations away from China. A self made goal in my humble opinion.

You idiot that’d mean US firms will move out of the US so they can lower costs and those that’ll stay will pass on the increased cost to the end consumer either way loose loose for the 99% of public. I swear you trumpits have no idea how corporations or economy work

Unfortunately starting a sentence with a derogatory insult is not the best way to convince your counterpart of the theoretical superiority of your view. 😜 Btw, I agree that the medium term relocation does not have to the the US but possibly Vietnam, Indonesia etc. 😄

Trump doesn't realise that the ability of the US Treasury to spend with abandon & borrow without limit depends on global trade, as countries keep chestloads of the USD whose valuation depends on being the currency of foreign reserve & petrol trade. China is ready to ditch the USD
